Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) is the concept which focuses on increasing the belongingness of the operator towards the machines or equipment and involving them in the maintenance activity because they are the person in the factory who knows machines better than others. It leads to the reduction of defects, breakdowns frequency, breakdown hours etc.
