A side note from me, Deborah LaBron, the perfumer: I loved designing and working with this blend of "Patchouli and Sandalwood." I missed the single note patchouli phase of the '60s and '70s where patchouli was thought of as a "hippie" fragrance. Today, Patchouli is used in many beautiful perfumes. There is no synthetic substitute/chemical for patchouli oil, which increases its value and demand in the perfumery market. The perfume industry has used patchouli in a number of the world’s finest perfumes, using the oil for its warm soul feeling and sensual, woody, voluptuous notes.
